Danish Flair Buttons (danske badges til scrapbooking)

So it took me long enough...but I finally got around to list some of my Danish Flair Buttons on Etsy. I have been designing these little cuties for the past year, but with a baby in the house the button machine was pretty much just sitting there unused. I finally put the machine to use these past months and have been designing like crazy until I came up with some sets I really liked. I do hope you like them, too!

You can visit my little Etsy store here.

And below are a handfull of the 20+ sets I have listed. There are many more camera-related sets including some specifically for Instax and Instagram (just because I am a huge fan of all things camera related and think they always look great on layouts, since they tend to include a photos shot with some sort of camera, right?), more baby flairs and flair for Project Life or everyday layouts. All sets are mostly with Danish text, but I'm happy to change the language to e.g. English.

More sets will be listed soon (hopefully within the next month, but no promise). If you follow me in Instagram you are sure not to miss a shop update! I'm brandtlassen (http://instagram.com/brandtlassen). If you are not on Instagram, go join!!! I am addicted beyond measures. Oh, and do follow me on Etsy as well.

I'd love to hear what you think, so please leave a comment!

Flying high (in Legoland)

A colorful boy-layout using Echo Park All about a Boy collection and lots of airplanes including a cute wood veneer airplane. We visited Legoland a few weeks ago, and I was inspired to finally use these photos I had printed after a visit years ago. The Lego-colors work perfectly with the bright EP collections, and it's a fun challenge for me to use bold colors...

Island hopping

A few months ago I went on a weekend crop with some very talented ladies. We challenged each other all weekend and one of the challenges was to use a very special "kit": We had each bought supplies for about 50 Dkr., so we each got a pile of pretty random scrapbooking supplies to use... The only rule was to use a part of E.V.E.R.Y S.I.N.G.L.E item on the page.

Here is the page I created. I love how it turned out:

And here is a picture of the items we were to use on our project. Not exactly the ideal kit, but a fun challenge:

And finally some deatil shots of my layout. Even used an Anchor roller stamp...

And finally a picture of all the layouts using the exact same products. Amazing how diffrent they turned out.

Thanks ladies, I had a fantastic weekend!

Chicago Bean

My absolute favorite city is Chicago. Besides Paris, it's the city I have visited the most outside of Denmark. I love love Chicago, and have since my first visit back in 1996! So happy my husband also fell in love with the city 10 years ago, so we can go there as a family. So much to do with children as well. Crossing my fingers to return for a 7th visit next summer!

This layout was made a year ago (and updated with more stamps in the fall) and features photos from a January-trip to Chicago some years back. SAS had an incredible bonus-points deal and the trip was a spur of the moment that cost us only 500 Dkr in airport taxes!! Loved seeing the city with snow and huge ice flakes in the river.

I created my background using different kinds of stamps, mist, inks and gesso over a star-mask.

Project Life (week 20+21)

Here are the last two weeks of May 2013. The baby isn't mine, but gosh I feel lucky to be able to photograph these precious little newborns. The first week we once again went to the Medieval Market at Valby. Such an awesome Pinse-tradition.

Oh, and Denmark won the European Song Contest! hooray!

That little white tube-thing I'm holding in my hand is my life-saver. It's a shunt that regulates the flow of my spinal fluid as my body cannot absorb it the normal way. I have a condition called Hydrocephalus, and this week the Danish Hydrocephalus Association met in Jylland.

Summer is here again

A layout using the monthly kit from Love2scrap. This month it was a collection pack from Echo park Paper. The big diecut is a border from Tim Holtz/Sizzix.

Birthday cards with Hero Arts Stamps

Last week I blogged these cards on the scrapper.dk-blog. I used some birthday stamps fra Hero Arts to create some easy cards. The possibilities with this stamp set is almost endless.

For the first card I revisited a layering technique I haven't done in a long time.

The second card got a feminine touch with a red heart on top of the cupcake.

And finally the last card I kept very neutral, so it would work perfectly for a man.

Project Life (week 18+19)

Two more weeks of my favorite project: documenting little bits of our daily life. Not everything is of course documented in photos, and many of my thoughts are hidden for the public, as they are private. The pockets makes it easy to slide a journaling card in between, and the folded 4x3 cards from becky Higgins are perfect for these private thoughts.

Found some soccer-paper at Panduro Hobby, that was perfect for this week and added the first card from the Becky Higgins Blush-Edition (yellow Life-lately card), which I used for the following weeks. Love2scrap started selling all the good Becky Higgins stuff, but unfortunately most things were back-ordered:

And week 20. Used up some old Bo Bunny scraps for this week. Looks weird with the space theme, but the spread is done, and that's the most important thing!

For this week I added an insert with photos from our Kolonihave

If you do Project Life, do you also hide private journaling once in a while?
